Commercial Cladding & Facades

Protecting the lifespan and appearance of your business premises.

The Importance of Material Care

Large-scale commercial cladding—whether composite panel, metal profile, or glass—is designed to be tough. However, these systems are constantly fighting against industrial pollutants. For a business owner or facilities manager, grime and algae are not just bad for your brand’s image; they are a direct threat to the building's outer shell.

Understanding the Risks

In industrial and logistics environments, the main enemies are carbon pollution and organic growth. When these contaminants settle on your building, they do more than look unsightly—they attack the material.

  • Chemical Damage: Industrial pollutants stick to the surface and create acidic conditions. Over time, this eats into the factory-applied coating (such as Plastisol or PVDF), reducing its lifespan.

  • Moisture & Rust: Algae and moss act like a sponge, holding moisture against the panels. This constant dampness accelerates corrosion, particularly at the cut edges and overlaps of the cladding.

  • UV Damage: Heavy soiling changes how the facade absorbs heat, which can speed up ‘chalking’—where the paint finish breaks down and turns powdery.

Our Approach: The Right Method for the Material

We do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach to industrial cleaning. A delicate anodised aluminium frame requires a completely different protocol to a heavy-duty composite panel. We assess the specific materials on your site to ensure we clean effectively without risk of damage.

Controlled Pressure & Softwash To remove stubborn carbon buildup or heavy algae, we use a spectrum of methods depending on what the building can handle.

  • Variable Pressure: We use systems that allow us to lower the pressure and adjust the temperature. This allows us to clean delicate surfaces thoroughly without forcing water into seals or damaging the paint finish.

  • Chemical Intelligence: Where pressure isn't the answer, we use 'softwash' chemical treatments. These break down dirt and biological growth gently, ensuring a deep clean that restores the asset to its intended condition.

Key Standards

  • Coating Safety: We select cleaning agents that are chemically appropriate for the material to be treated. This ensures that sensitive finishes (including HPS200 and anodised aluminium) are cleaned without being chemically compromised.

  • Warranty Compliance: Manufacturers require specific maintenance to keep their guarantees valid. Our procedures are designed to align with these schedules, helping you protect your warranty.

  • Minimal Disruption: We utilise cherry pickers (MEWPs) and access equipment strategically to ensure we reach every part of the facade with minimal impact on your daily site operations.
